Finding a locations for family photo sessions is a big aspect of a photographer’s job. Photographers call it location scouting and how each individual photographer chooses and uses a location is a large part of their style. It becomes a fun challenge to look for places that are not only beautiful but safe for littles, has easy parking access, and is somewhat close to the client’s home. It’s a real gem if the location has all that and not many people around. I also look for different types of locations depending on the season. This session was done in the early Fall in the Tall Pines part of Walnut Woods. It’s a bit of walk but totally worth it. Little Miss slept in her stroller and was ready happy and ready to go once we reached the Tall Pines Forest.
If you know of a someone with a beautiful area of land, in or near Columbus, that they’d be willing to allow me to rent please let me know! I’m always looking for new spots.
