I think most Moms will say they are short on time and require lots of caffeine to get through the day. That’s why I’m so excited to feature the local business Ohio Baby Co. These two Moms have teamed up to provide Central Ohio Moms services in postpartum care, sleep training, and that dreaded laundry pile. In this feature you’ll get to know a little more about Kirsten and Caroline and the values their business is built on.

1 ) What inspired you to start your business?

Kirsten: “I realized that the resources I needed or help and support after my second was born just weren’t a thing or available to me. So I started into various trainings to allow me to become that resource for new Moms”

Caroline: “After having my 3rd baby, I realized this type of work actually existed and a career could be made of it. So knowing each other for a couple years, we decided to join together in this work as partners to give new Moms in Central Ohio all the support!!”

2 ) What services do you provide?

“We offer in home care services. Which include infant care & mother care. Feeding, meals, help w/ dishes and laundry. This can be overnight so parents can sleep through the night. Or during the day so parents can rest/whatever they need to do, and know a loving pro is with their baby.”

3 ) What is your education/expertise background?

“We both went to college for business and the same training in Postpartum and as Infant Care Doulas. Kirsten is also a dual certified child birth educator and pediatric sleep consultant.”

4 ) What’s your dream for your business ? “Our dream is to have our name known around town so that when a new Mom mentions the need for help or support, her friends and family can refer her to contact us, and we can support her through her journey into Motherhood.”

5 ) Tell me a little about who you are outside your business.

Kirsten: “I’m a wife, Mom to two boys, from PA and have been in Ohio since 2014! I love supporting new Moms during this very intimate time, and pride myself in being friendly and non judgmental.”

Caroline: “I am a wife and mom to 4 kids. We are originally from Youngstown and moved to the Columbus area 6 years ago. It seems like lots of families are transplants here and do not have the support of family around. We offer support, knowledge, friendship, and solidarity in the Mom struggle!”
